Samantha Jay Portraiture is a full service Philadelphia newborn, maternity & family portrait experience that focuses on creating heirloom quality images worthy of hanging in your home to be enjoyed for years to come.
After almost of decade of photographing weddings, I was being called to create a portrait experience with the same level of care and planning my wedding clients came to love. You won't have to worry about wardrobe and styling or how to get your images beautifully hanging in your home. I do all of the work so that you can be present with your children and enjoy this moment in time while I capture it for future generations.

the process
01. Wardrobe & Planning
Once your session is reserved with me, we will meet for your planning appointment. I will hand style you and your children from the client closet, plan out the session location and start mapping out artwork preferences for you home.
02. Session Day
03. Viewing & Ordering
04. Artwork Delivery
The day of your session I will provide wardrobe for mama and kiddos, your job is to enjoy this time with your family! As a mama myself, I carefully pose your baby and work my magic with your sweet toddler to keep the session running smoothly. No need to stress, I will capture your beautiful babies just as they are and pose your family in a natural way that encourages beautiful moments.
Once your gallery is ready, we will meet again to premiere your images and create custom artwork for your home. I will design custom gallery walls for your home and we will walk through album image selections. You will place your final artwork order at this meeting.
About 6-10 weeks later, your artwork will be ready for pickup to grace the walls of your home as your family grows!

As a Philadelphia newborn photographer and a mom of two young toddlers myself, I know how fleeting time can feel and how you long to be fully present in your family memories. This insight into parenthood combined with my 10 years of experience photographing luxury weddings in the Philadelphia area is what led me to create my custom portrait experience.
We do all of our pre-planning for wardrobe and timing so that on the day of your session you are able to show up with your children for a session full of play! I want your session to be a beautiful memory for your family.
When you look back at your final images and the portraits hanging in your home, I want you to remember holding your babies close, lifting them up during a giggle fit and exploring the world together. Your memories are so precious and you deserve a family portrait session that captures this season of life.
