Relaxed Newborn Portraits at Home in Media, PA with Philadelphia Newborn Photographer

Welcome to the world, Jade! I can’t wait to share these newborn portraits at home in Media PA with you! I’ve been photographing Jade’s parents Julianna and Dave since 2014, when they got engaged. They got married at Rodale Institute and before we knew it, they were growing their family. I photographed their son’s newborn session and now, I’ve been given the chance to capture their little girl’s newborn portraits at home in Media PA, too! These gorgeous portraits were a great chance to celebrate the arrival of their new little one.

Newborn Portraits at Home in Media PA

Newborn sessions at home always feel so relaxed, and Jade’s session was no exception. It was so good to see Julianna, Dave, and Leo again during our session. Leo has gotten so big – and he’s still adjusting to the newest member of his family. But, he was so sweet with me and I loved watching him explore. We started the session with my favorite simple neutral newborn portraits. Jade was wrapped up in a white swaddle and we even had a fun floral headband for this sweet girl. She was super wakeful and we got some amazing images of her awake!

Newborn Photos in Baby’s Nursery

Afterwards, we moved to Jade’s nursery for some new family portraits. Her nursery is SO pretty with elegant pastel flower accents throughout the space and lots of neutral, white decor, too. Leo came into the nursery after a little bit and wanted to snuggle up with his parents. He gave them lots of hugs and kisses – it was adorable to watch! After a little bit of snuggling in the nursery, Jade finally fell asleep so we laid her down in the crib and her parents took a moment to watch her. I always love capturing those quiet moments for new parents, too.

Tips for Newborn Portraits with Toddlers

These newborn portraits at home in Media PA ended in Julianna and Dave’s room, where the four of them could snuggle up tight together. Julianna and Dave were so relaxed, just enjoying the time and letting Leo come and go as he pleased. I’m totally okay with that as a family photographer. Kids should be kids – and when they’re at home, they can take as many breaks as they need to play, eat, or just have some space. It’s no problem at all and helps keep our vibe laid back and less stressful.

At the end of their newborn portraits, we spent a little more time on portraits of just Jade. We brought some pink and pastel flowers to lay around her – alluding to the nursery’s decor, which was fun. I love being able to create portraits that will fit so well in the theme of your home!

Heirloom Products from Your Newborn Session

At their ordering appointment, Dave and Jules selected two beautiful framed pieces from Jade’s portraits. The portraits will live in these stunning gold frames on their wall for years to come. One of the things I pride myself on is creating heirloom products for my families to enjoy. They can choose from a variety of handpicked options (see more about them here!) to hang on their walls or share with their loved ones. As you can see, they’re all elegant and we can figure out which option is the best fit for your family! Learn more about our artwork here!
