Michelle and Marcus are a couple that is so close to my heart. They met at Penn State University as undergrads and even had their engagement session up in State College – one of my favorite towns EVER! When it came to their big day they chose the beautiful Springton Manor Farm. It was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day.
When they arrived at the farm you could see their excited, nervous energy. As Michelle’s maid of honor zipped her into her dress and her mother helped her with her jewelry, her bridal look was complete. After a quick cheers with his groomsmen, Marcus headed down outside the Manor house to get ready for First Look. When he turned around to see Michelle, his reaction was priceless. They embraced and just took each other in for a moment. That is what is so amazing about the First Look. You get quiet time together to just enjoy the day. Then they ventured out to explore the farm stopping first at the pond, a quick stroll through the open fields and saying hello to the sweet goats on property (who were probably most interested in dining on Michelle’s stunning bouquet from Matlack Florist). After portraits they headed back up to the house to hide away prior to the ceremony. Guests began to arrive and filled the seats under the beautiful oak tree in the front yard. Michelle and Marcus had a beautiful ceremony with the most perfect backdrop. The large tree served as a beautiful symbol of the life they were creating together that day. They were planting the roots the would blossom over years.
After the ceremony, they enjoyed time with their guests and headed into the tent for dinner from Queen of Hearts Catering and dancing with tunes by Soundwave DJs! It was a perfect evening. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gergar!
