Over the last 14 years, I have been able to photograph couples at some truly amazing Philadelphia wedding venues- upwards of 175 venues. Each week is a new adventure in a new place, and out of the hundreds of venues I have worked with, I decided to compile a list of some of my favorites. When you are planning a wedding, sometimes the amount of options can seem like sensory overload! How do you choose? Well, in the eyes of a photographer, these are some of the most beautiful and photo-friendly wedding venues in the Philadelphia area.

Philadelphia Wedding Venues
Bellevue Hall
Bellevue Hall is especially showstopping when it’s in full bloom! Hosting an outdoor ceremony in the garden gazebo followed by a tented wedding reception is a gorgeous way to utilize this property. Check out Katelyn and Dan’s Bellevue Hall wedding day for beautiful spring/summer wedding inspiration. I also loved Rebecca and Zach’s blue and coral color palette for their April wedding at Bellevue Hall!

Skytop Lodge
When it comes to planning a wedding weekend in the Poconos, there isn’t a single detail Skytop Lodge hasn’t already thought through! Since 1928 this historic resort has spent nearly a century doing one thing exceptionally well: creating space for families to gather, reconnect, and make memories that last for generations. Skytop Lodge offers multiple ceremony and reception options, each with its own personality and scale across 5,500 acres of rolling mountain landscape. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, the flow of the property allows events to move naturally without guests ever feeling rushed.
Sara and Kevin hosted an August wedding weekend at Skytop Lodge while Katie and James hosted their pastel blue September wedding day here!

Philadelphia Cricket Club
I’ve photographed so many amazing weddings at Philadelphia Cricket Club! Founded in 1854, PCC is the oldest country club in the United States. What I love most about Philadelphia Cricket Club is how much range it gives you across a single day. The outdoor ceremony on the Great Lawn, cocktail hour on the brick patio with the lawn stretching out behind guests, and then the ballroom for the reception. You get three completely different visual environments all on one property!
For a more detailed look at the venue’s history, layout, amenities, and packages, read my Philadelphia Cricket Club Wedding Venue Guide.

Curtis Arboretum
Curtis Arboretum and their catering group, Jeffrey Miller Catering, is one of our favorites to work with. Not only are they exclusive caterers at some beautiful venues but they are such a joy to work with. Host your outdoor wedding in front of the gorgeous pergola surrounded by stone balustrades and opt for a lovely tented reception on the patio!

The Inn at Grace Winery
The Inn at Grace Winery is a historic Quaker farmhouse inn set on a 40 acre private estate in Glen Mills, PA. This Brandywine Valley venue offers a vineyard, winery, tasting rooms and rustic barns to host your celebration. You and your guests will enjoy farm-to-table cuisine and a boutique hotel inside the manor house!
Awbury Arboretum
Another venue with roots in the Quaker community is Awbury Arboretum. What was once the private enclave of an extended Quaker family, the Portico at Awbury Arboretum is now a lush green oasis in the midst of an urban environment. The Francis Cope House, with its floor to ceiling window and picturesque wraparound porch, serves as the gathering point for your celebration. Photo backdrops are as varied and enchanting as you’ll find at any outdoor Philadelphia wedding venue—enchanted forest, verdant lawn, shaded clearings, English garden, white peaked tent, and more.
Lauxmont Farms
Lauxmont Farms is known for its stunning landscapes and waterfront views, making it a popular choice for any couples seeking an elegant backdrop for their wedding day! Abigail and Jacob’s intimate Lauxmont Farms wedding took full advantage of the venue’s natural beauty, and I loved how their day unfolded from start to finish. The Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms, with its sweeping views and grand architectural charm, is the perfect location for an intimate celebration. The expansive fields, scenic views, and the presence of horses add to the charm. Keeping your design simple yet elegant really allows the natural beauty of this venue to shine!

The Farm at Eagles Ridge
The Farm at Eagles Ridge is one of the most beautiful Philadelphia barn wedding venues in our area. With an entire farmhouse dedicated to space for the bride and groom to get ready in, a beautiful ceremony space overlooking the pond, rolling hills and fields full of potential and even options for al fresco dancing, this venue truly has it all! It’s so much more than just a beautiful barn venue!

Parque at Hunting Hill Mansion
Parque at Hunting Hill Mansion is a beautiful country estate venue by Peachtree Catering for couples who love to be surrounded by nature and old-world elegance. The beautiful stone manor is set in the expansive Ridley Creek State Park and feels like it is in another time. It is romantic, elegant, and should not be missed!

Appleford Estate
The Appleford Estate is a historic home in the beautiful town of Villanova. With manicured rose gardens, open green space, and a beautiful tented reception space, Appleford Estate truly has it all. There is such a romantic feel to the entire property.

*The florals in this Appleford Estate Wedding were arranged by Fresh Designs Florist
Glen Foerd on the Delaware
Glen Foerd on the Delaware is a super dreamy, river-side venue located in the Torresdale neighborhood of Philadelphia. Managed by exclusive caterers, Jamie Hollander Catering and Events, weddings at Glen Foerd are always seamless and picture perfect. We have noticed our Glen Foerd weddings are always super relaxed and filled with joy!

The Manor House at Springton Manor Farm
Springton Manor Farm is another beautiful Philadelphia wedding venue option for couples who dream of open fields, quaint country views, and adorable farm animals! The goats on site are so cute and always down for a photo op! (or maybe they just want to eat the beautiful bouquets). We have had couples who wanted the barn look of this venue and others who preferred to focus on the natural elements that surround the property- there is so much flexibility with this space!

The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve is beautiful both inside and out! Owned and operated by the incredible Finley Catering, this space has tons of options for couples who crave ease and beauty. Not only is their outdoor ceremony space overlooking a beautiful sunlit field, but the picturesque ballroom is classic, elegant, and the perfect canvas for your wedding dreams. They also have a stunning bridal space with plenty of natural light.
I recently had the joy of capturing Brenna and Fran’s colorful May wedding at The Ivy, Ellis Preserve’s newest venue space! The Ivy offers flexibility, flow, and a setting that adapts beautifully to a wide range of styles.

Philander Chase Knox Estate
Philander Chase Knox Estate is set within the grounds of Valley Forge National Historical Park and is run by the amazing Robert Ryan Catering. It’s nestled into the beautiful sunlit fields of the park and has endless opportunities for beautiful photographs with gorgeous greenhouse ruins and other architectural elements. This space is the most beautiful marriage of natural elements with a tented reception.

Terrain at Styers
Terrain at Styers is Anthropologie’s home and garden center set in beautiful Glen Mills, PA. This space is truly a photographer’s dream. With gorgeous florals and dreamy architectural elements, this space doesn’t need many additions to make it a perfect Philadelphia wedding venue!

Indian River Lifesaving Station
Indian River Lifesaving Station is located on a stretch of coastal Highway 1 between Rehoboth Beach, DE and Bethany Beach, DE. It is a beachy dream with a sweet barn-style building and tented reception space and access to the beach. Guests have plenty of room to roam and explore. If you didn’t know, I love any chance I get to spend time in Rehoboth Beach! If you’re planning a photoshoot in the area, grab some tips from 4 Beach Engagement Photo Ideas From A Summer Session in Rehoboth.

Tyler Arboretum
Tyler Arboretum has been completely transformed with the restoration of their beautiful barn on the property into a rustic reception space. I have always loved Tyler Arboretum, which occupies a corner of Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA. Every wedding here feels so connected to nature and inspired by the beautiful trees that surround the property. Jeffrey Miller Catering does an incredible job with this Philadelphia area wedding venue space!

Aldie Mansion
Aldie Mansion is a beautiful manor with an English country feel nestled in Doylestown, PA. This space screams European elegance and is managed by the incredible Jeffrey Miller Catering.

Bartram’s Gardens
Bartram’s Garden is a historic Philadelphia garden and arboretum that offers itself up for beautiful event space. According to Wikipedia, It is the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America! You can literally get married in a piece of history! Located on the west bank of the Schuylkill River, it covers 46 acres and includes a historic botanical garden and arboretum. It is a dream wedding venue in Philadelphia!

Brandywine Manor House
Brandywine Manor House in Honey Brook, PA was a fast favorite from the first wedding I ever photographed there. It has rustic barn elements that can certainly be played up, but beautiful woodsy environments that can also be used during the wedding day. I absolutely love the pergola outside the tented reception space!

Pearl S. Buck House
The Pearl S. Buck House in Doylestown, PA is exclusively catered by the amazing Jamie Hollander Catering & Events. They have done such a fantastic job with this event space and turned it into such a gem in our area. The outdoor ceremony space overlooks the Pennsylvania woods, rolling landscapes, and includes beautiful onsite photo spaces. This Philadelphia area wedding venue is truly a treasure.

Carriage House at Rockwood Park
We LOVE working with our friends at Greenery Caterers every time we celebrate couples at the Carriage House at Rockwood Park in Wilmington, Delaware. This venue has beautiful outdoor gardens, a greenhouse for an indoor photography option, gorgeous stonework, and landscapes. We have worked here in every season, and it is always so stunning!

The Radnor Hunt and Pony Club
The Radnor Hunt and Pony Club offers so much charm for those who dream of a wedding with a more classic feel. The wedding below was styled by the AMAZING Lora of Laurel & Elm. The entire day felt classic, romantic, and super chic. It was a winter wedding dream!

MAAS Building
The MAAS Building is one of my favorite unique venues in the City of Philadelphia. Located in a gritty neighborhood, The MAAS Building is an enclosed “secret garden” courtyard with beautiful greenery and an industrial chic building. The surrounding streets have beautiful street art that is truly a feast for the eyes!

Morris Arboretum
Morris Arboretum is another all time favorite! The arboretum itself is owned by the University of Pennsylvania, and its many acres give ample photo opportunities for beautiful landscapes, nature views, and the feeling of a wedding day separate from the hustle and bustle of the city that surrounds it. They also work with one of our favorite caterers, Jeffrey Miller!

Greenville Country Club
Greenville Country Club is a venue that is super close to my heart as my husband and I were married here! Nestled into the hills of beautiful Greenville, Delaware, it is a secret garden dream. The ceremony space is backed by the beautiful old estate home, and the free flowing setup of the day is perfect for those who want a mostly outdoor wedding.

John James Audubon Center
The John James Audubon Center is a beautiful venue that embraces the beauty of nature in all respects! If weather does not permit your ceremony to be held outdoors, this venue provides a gorgeous barn for ceremonies, a pavilion for cocktail hour, and a spacious reception room. This Philadelphia wedding venue and the incredible exclusive caterer, Jeffrey Miller Catering, have thought of it all!

Front and Palmer/ Northern Liberties
Front and Palmer’s industrial reception space combined with the beautiful murals of this Philadelphia neighborhood is the perfect combination for any chic and artsy city couple. I’m such a sucker for a cool mural, and these take the cake.
