Philadelphia Engagement Photographer

Serving Philadelphia, PA and all over Delaware.

Your engagement session is not just about capturing moments for a Save the Date; it's about immortalizing the unique and beautiful time in your relationship before embarking on the journey of marriage. This session becomes a celebration of the life you have built together, a reflection of the shared experiences that have brought you to this significant point of commitment. It's an opportunity to pause and cherish the magic that exists between you two.  As a Philadelphia Engagement Photographer, I love meeting my couples at golden hour in a sun-soaked field. The warm, golden light gently kisses your faces. That glow is what I'm always seeking.  That is when ordinary moments transform into extraordinary ones and I can truly capture the love that radiates between you. The soft, diffused light captures the essence of your connection, making the images timeless and filled with emotion.

You deserve to soak in your love while I capture the laughter, stolen glances, and quiet moments that define your relationship. This session is not just about posing for pictures; it's about effortlessly being yourselves, wrapped in the warm embrace of the golden hour, creating a collection of images that will serve as a visual ode to the love story you've written together.

It was clear immediately that Samantha has a true passion for wedding photography. That showed in the way that she captured our wedding. She was professional, quick to respond, flexible, and organized.

"Samantha was really a joy to work with from start to finish."

Even the posed photos came out looking natural and indicative of the love and enjoyment we all felt on that day. We are so grateful that Samantha played such a important role in our wedding!

"We were blown away by Samantha's ability to capture the intricacies of each special moment."

I truly feel like she brought out the best in us as a couple throughout the day and we can hold on to those moments forever. We couldn’t be more pleased with Samantha and we even continue to meet up for dinners! Besides our decision to get married, she was the next best decision we made.

"I would consider yourself truly lucky to be able to work with such a talented and thoughtful photographer."

Overall we were so pleased with the photos we received back. They are classic pictures and she mixed in great candids with the formal shots we hoped for.

"There were so many moments captured that I didn't even realize."

Most of our full wedding collections include an engagement session, but we do offer them a la carte as well.

My aim in my photography is always to create heirloom images that will stand the test of time. In 5, 25, 50 years, I want you to look back at your wedding images and see exactly who you were on that day. You should remember how you felt and the love that surrounded you. That is what I hope to capture with my photography. So I would say my style is organic, timeless, joyful and romantic.

Wedding days are filled with so many incredible moments and having a second photographer allows me to capture even more of those once in a lifetime kind of moments. I like to say that it basically allows me to be in two places at once on your wedding day! So basically second photographer = magic.

Yes! We have liability insurance that can be provided to your venue if requested.

Engagement sessions are a great time for us to get to know each other better prior to the wedding day. Most couples prior to getting engaged have not had a professional photography session together so it can feel a little funny at first! The engagement session is a great way to get those nerves out prior to the wedding day!

Choosing your location for your engagement session is part of the fun! You want to choose a location that you feel comfortable with and perhaps means something to you as a couple. Think about your first date, a hobby you share or even just a pretty place you love! This is the time to express yourself as a couple!

The engagement session should occur at least 5 weeks before you plan to use your images.  Some of our couples use them for save the dates and their wedding websites. We do schedule these Monday-Thursday about 2 hours prior to sunset to catch the beautiful golden hour. {Friday, Saturday and Sunday are reserved for wedding commissions.}

The number of images in your final gallery will vary based on a number of circumstances: location, weather, personality, number of people, did we shoot film and hours of coverage/session. On average I deliver between 50-100 pictures per hour of coverage.  So a typical gallery is about 1000 images.

YES! Travel is one of the things I love about my job! In the past my couples have taken me to Iceland, New Orleans, Hawaii, Vermont, Rhode Island, West Virginia, New York City, Cape May and all around the Tri-State Area! I am always willing to travel! Get in touch to see our current travel collections and check out our travel bucket list!

Travel pricing is determined on a case by case basis.  The travel fee is a rate determined by your location and given as a stipend.  From there we will book the plane ticket and accommodations.

Yes! You will never receive any images straight out of camera. I take a lot of images on a wedding day and my editing processing begins with culling through all of those images to rid the collection of duplicates. I then digitally process all photos with my personal photographic aesthetic before you see them!

Yes! I love seeing my couples again in their married life.  I offer maternity, newborn and family portraiture in my natural light studio in Aston, PA.  You can check out more about my portraits HERE.

We live in the digital age but future generations in your family are not going to stumble across a folder of your wedding photography files on your ancient laptop. Preserving your wedding photos in a tangible way is so incredibly important because those will be the lasting memories from your wedding day. Our heirloom wedding albums are of the highest quality that will truly stand the test of time. You can check out our physical albums HERE.

Turnaround time will vary depending on my schedule but usually portrait sessions are delivered in 3-5 weeks and weddings are delivered in 8-10 weeks.

We do!  Photographing people on film began as a passion project to expand my creativity within my work.  It quickly turned into a favorite medium for preserving memories and creating images that will stand the test of time.  Film has a timeless quality that we strive for in our work and even our digital images are inspired by the look and feel of film.
