In honor of this crazy snow on the first day of spring, it seemed fitting to share an elopement we photographed in Iceland! Iceland is one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited. It is like something from another world. The landscapes are breathtaking, the weather is all over the place (in winter) and the people are incredibly kind. Stanley and Julie have an incredible love story that began as pen pals of sorts. Stanley was in the Navy and told his cousin that he wanted someone to talk to and she suggested he chat with Julie. They began to talk non-stop whenever they had a free moment and found they had a lot in common. Their first date was actually in London which was halfway between where Julie lived in the US and where Stanley was stationed in Bahrain. From there on out, they knew they were made for each other.
From their first date to now, Stanley and Julie have shared a love of travel and adventure. They both have incredible senses of humor and compliment each other so perfectly. Iceland also showcased this couple to a t. It has beautiful countrysides for their adventurous side but it also has an amazing city, Reykjavik which allowed them to go out and have fun! This was such a highlight of 2017 and we hope to have many more travels in this beautiful new year!
