Mary and Stephen are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I have known Mary since high school, she has the best sense of humor and is incredibly kind. When she contacted me about photographing her and Stephen’s wedding, I was so so excited! Mary and Stephen currently reside in New York City but wanted to get married in Mary’s hometown of Media, PA. They selected her childhood parish, St. Mary Magdalen’s for their ceremony and Finley Catering’s The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square was the venue for their reception. Both are absolutely gorgeous!
Their ceremony was filled with so many personal touches. Mary’s mother and best friend Jamie both sang during the ceremony and they had readings by Mary’s brother and Stephen’s sister. There was so much joy all throughout the ceremony- it was beautiful. After they wrapped up their ceremony with the exchange of rings, a kiss and a joyful walk back down the aisle it was time to continue on to the reception! We arrived at Ellis Preserve and hung out with the full bridal party and immediate families. After a round of portraits everyone was welcomed inside for private cocktails in the bridal suite before joining the full cocktail hour.
Mary and Stephen got a first look at their reception space which had been beautifully outfitted by Marcus Hook Florist and Bloom With Us (the day of coordinators and planners). It was gorgeous! From there the reception was a jamming party! The EBE Talent Band, Rio, really got things going and all the guests were dancing fools! It was an amazing evening that topped of a perfect day! Check out Mary and Stephen’s wedding day!
