Congratulations, Jessica and Mike! Jessica and Mike planned a romantic spring celebration at French Creek Golf Club, one of my favorite venues in Chester County, PA! These two are so special to me. Jessica has to be one of the sweetest and most open brides I’ve ever met. Her kindness shone through every minute and detail of their wedding day. Mike is definitely the funny one – his sarcasm makes everyone laugh – and he and Jessica balance each other out well.
Spring French Creek Golf Club Wedding Day
Their day featured an elegant color palette of light blue and ivory, an outdoor ceremony, and a fun reception with a lot of dancing (and fun details!). Jessica prepared for the day with her ladies in the bridal suite at French Creek. It’s a beautiful space with lots of wonderful natural light – which means great getting ready photos! Once she and Mike were ready, they met for a first look outside the venue. We found a quiet space for them to meet for the first time and have a few minutes to themselves. I love that they opted to do a first look because it gave us more time for portraits before the ceremony. Speaking of their ceremony, Mike’s stepfather officiated their outdoor ceremony. It was full of so many laughs and emotional moments for everyone!
Since we had done a first look and lots of portraits before the ceremony, Jessica and Mike were able to attend their cocktail hour. They loved showing off their new rings! When the reception space was complete, everyone headed in for the arty! Jessica and Mike had elegant gold and ivory details at each table. But the real fun took place on the dance floor! Mike did a special dance with his mom for fans of the show “The Peacemaker” with John Cena after the traditional mother/son dance. It cracked everyone up. His best man also brought down the house with his speech! It’s so clear that Jessica and Mike are well-loved and have the best people in their corner!!
During the reception, Jessica, Mike, and I dipped out for some more photos at sunset. They decided to have their bridal party help with some sparkler photos – which really gave them an intimate and close feeling. I love that they decided to do that instead of the full party! It was a nice change. We had a great sunset that night, so we made sure to take a few extra portraits of them as the sun was going down. I’m grateful that Jessica and Mike were so open to sneaking away for those little pockets of time throughout the day.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.! I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together!
