James is Christina and Greg’s first baby and he was an absolute angel during our in-home newborn portraits. He slept like a champ and was so settled the whole time! This is part of why I encourage parents to schedule their newborn session between the first 7-10 days of their baby’s arrival home. Babies at this age are still very sleepy, like James was! It can also help us avoid some of that darling baby acne that can pop up. Anyway, James’ newborn portraits were such a dream!! I loved every minute inside this beautiful Philadelphia home.
In-Home Newborn Portraits in Philadelphia
Christina and Greg chose a gorgeous light blue color palette for James’ nursery. They chose to bring in a minimal ocean theme, with some gorgeous paintings. I’m obsessed with them, honestly! It’s such a simple and sweet nod to the ocean. Christina also chose to wear a white and blue gown with a ditsy floral pattern. It was the perfect choice to match James’ room easily! Greg’s blue shirt really brought their outfits all together and I loved how these three looked snuggled up in the master bedroom.
After their session, we discussed which images would become heirloom artwork for James and his family. They selected a gorgeous 16×16 deckled edge framed print that features his sweet face. I love that this image will fit seamlessly into their home because of the neutral styling. This adorable image came from our very first setup – with the simple white backdrop. I love that the simple setup allows us to truly focus on baby’s features. It’s going to be the perfect addition to their (already beautiful) home!
