Elizabeth and Brenden are getting married! This summer, we braved the rain to capture their beautiful beach engagement session in Ocean City, NJ. Since Elizabeth and Brenden began planning with me, they knew they wanted engagement portraits that would contrast with their Philadelphia winter wedding day. So, we decided on Ocean City! Elizabeth’s family vacations here, so it’s a place that holds special meaning for them, too. All of the stress about the weather was so worth it to capture these gorgeous portraits for the soon-to-be newlyweds!
Ocean City NJ Engagement Photos
On the way to the beach, it was raining and I was a little nervous when I headed out for the session. Luckily, as I got closer to meeting Elizabeth and Brenden, it began to clear up! The beach was a little bit overcast, but we truly got some beautiful skies for Elizabeth and Brenden along the waterfront… and it wasn’t as busy either, thanks to the weather! Elizabeth and Brenden were so relaxed and just naturals in front of the camera. I can tell how much they love being in Ocean City and being together. I’m so thankful that they were amazing and flexible as we watched and waited for more rain to come in.
After they got into their second outfit, the skies began to darken. That meant we had some really dramatic and gorgeous images – but we were waiting for it to open up again! Near the end of our session, it downpoured on us! Elizabeth and Brenden were awesome and we went back to the beach for a few more photos in the wind. They’re some of my favorites, honestly. Elizabeth and Brenden just look so happy being together – it was all absolutely worth it!
