Skytop Lodge Wedding with Summer Details

Katie and James are married! Their beautiful summer wedding was held at the Skytop Lodge in Skytop, PA. It was an incredible day filled with pastel details, an outdoor ceremony, and so many wonderful laughs. Katie is hilarious and she and James love being together and playing together. It was truly an honor to photograph them on their wedding day.

When Katie and James began to plan their wedding, the Skytop Lodge just made perfect sense. Katie and James are both actors who had lived in NYC and when the pandemic really hit they moved out of the city and lived near Skytop Lodge to ride everything out. They developed a beautiful life in this community and their relationship blossomed. On top of this being their community and where Katie worked many summers, James proposed to Katie near the fireplace in the main lobby. Definitely a special venue for Katie and James!

Skytop Lodge Wedding Day

Katie prepped with her girls in the morning at the lodge. She looked beautiful before she even got in her wedding dress in a fun floor length white robe. We had a blast capturing portraits of her in the walkway at Skytop Lodge. When she was ready, she met James for their first look. I LOVE how much they couldn’t stop smiling and laughing together. You can seriously feel the joy overflowing with them.

After their first look and portraits around the lodge, it was time for their ceremony. They held it right on the lawn at Skytop Lodge. It was beautiful. I loved all of the pastel flowers around their arbor. Just beautiful!!! Katie’s ladies wore a pastel blue, which really popped against the summer greenery, too. At the end of the evening, Katie and James hosted their family and friends inside the lodge for their reception! With gold details and more beautiful pastel florals, the classic reception space came to life. It was the perfect place to dance all night.

One of the things I loved most about Katie and James is how much fun they have together. You can feel the joy they have for each other and for life in everything they do. I hope that never stops for them! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
