Le Papillon by Samantha Jay is a family portrait experience that focuses on getting heirloom quality images hanging in your home to be enjoyed for years to come.
After almost of decade of photographing weddings, I was being called to create a portrait experience with the same level of care and planning my wedding clients came to love. You won't have to worry about wardrobe and styling or how to get your images beautifully hanging in your home, I provide a client wardrobe of over 100 dresses, pre style your family for your Philadelphia photography session and cut out the worry many moms feel when getting ready to have professional photos taken. Your job is to be present with your children and enjoy this moment in time while I capture it for future generations.
From client wardrobe to wall art and custom album design, you won't have to lift a finger to get the magazine worthy results that I provide.

01. Wardrobe & Planning
Once your session is reserved with me, we will meet for your planning appointment. I will hand style you and your children from the client closet, plan out the session location and start mapping out artwork preferences for you home.
02. Session Day

04. Artwork Delivery
The day of your session I will provide wardrobe for mama and kiddos and your job is to enjoy this time with your family! As a mama myself, I carefully pose your baby and work my magic with your sweet toddler to keep the session running smoothly. No need to stress, I will capture your beautiful babies just as they are and pose your family in a natural way that encourages beautiful moments.
Once your gallery is ready, we will meet again to premiere your images and create custom artwork for your home. I will design custom gallery walls for your home and we will walk through album image selections. You will place your final artwork order at this meeting.
About 6-10 weeks later, your artwork will be ready for pickup to grace the walls of your home as your family grows!

Every portrait session with Samantha ends with an in person gallery premiere and artwork design appointment. This is where we create the artwork that will live in your home and preserve your family story. I guide each family I work with through the printed products and we create something custom for their home. This appointment is where all final image orders are placed and paid for.

What can I say! Samantha is a magic maker, truly. She’s worked with my family 3 times now and each time I’m blown away by her ability to capture my kids authentically AND beautifully. Anyone with toddlers knows how hard it is to do/ go anywhere! Within minutes, my son has crumbs on his face, juice on his shirt and is rolling in the dirt. Samantha just rolls with the punches and gets the little windows of sweetness in between the chaos. From the pictures you would think my kids were cuddly angels the whole time.

Do you offer a package for multiple sessions?
We shoot both in-home/on-location and studio sessions. This really comes down to client preference. When it comes to newborn sessions, some of our clients prefer to shoot in their home, others like the simplicity of coming to the studio and for family sessions we offer a variety of locations for our field sessions.
Do you come to my house or do you have a studio?
Le Papillon by Samantha Jay specializes in Philadelphia Newborn and Family photography in Philly, Delaware and the surrounding areas. We also service beach locations such as Rehoboth Beach, DE and Cape May, NJ for summer beach family photography sessions.
What kind of sessions do you offer?
Le Papillon by SamanthaJay offers a client wardrobe of over 100 dresses for mamas and a collection of children's clothing. During your wardrobe appointment we will hand style your family for a cohesive look that fits well and photographs beautifully. We do not stock mens attire but recommend looks for Dad in your session mood board.

FAQ
I offer both single sessions and my Baby Plan Membership. The Baby Plan membership offers clients 3-4 sessions over the course of 18 months and includes special perks during each of your ordering appointments such as 10% off any wall art and an album credit. The Baby Plan membership is built to capture from expecting your little one with a maternity session, through their first birthday session.
