The Top 3 Ways My Clients Like to Display Their Photos

As a Philadelphia portrait photographer who specializes in photographing families and newborns, one of the things I’m most passionate about is how my families display their images after our session. We live in a digital age but I don’t want your photos to simply live on your phone or computer. Instead, I believe in seeing and enjoying your artwork every single day of your life. It’s why I help every client determine which heirloom products fit their family and their home. Today, I’m sharing three of top ways my clients like to display their photos! All of these options are beautiful – and will be enjoyed every day – so I’m excited to share them with you and give you inspiration for your next set of family portraits!

Gallery Wall

Creating custom gallery walls has to be one of my all-time favorite options to display portraits. Not only does your family get to see your images every single day, there’s actually health benefits for you and your children. Children who see portraits of themselves hanging around at home have more confidence and higher self-esteem. So, custom gallery walls are always a wonderful option to showcase your family or newborn session portraits!

Albums have always been a popular product with my clients since I started my wedding photography business. But, now as many of them are building their families, they’re still one of my most popular products. Albums are a beautiful way to display your family’s story. I love thinking about the children I photograph flipping through these albums – and eventually having them in their home one day to tell their children about. I think albums are one of the most incredible heirlooms for your family to create! These volumes will showcase your family’s legacy well beyond this generation.

Matted Print Boxes

I love matted prints! They’re such a great option between an album and a gallery wall! Matted prints are set in archival mats that can be swapped in and out of frames as your family grows. They arrive ready to frame in their custom linen box and be displayed right away – which is always amazing. I like to keep the linen box on hand to store the prints I’m moving out of frames to make way for the most current portraits my family has had done. It’s a great way to store your special moments to be handed down in the future!

Displaying your portraits is about more than just hanging up a photo. It’s about deciding what the best fit for your family’s home and life is. Think about the kind of story you want to be able to tell and share with your loved ones for years to come. I can’t wait to help you decide how to display your portraits!
