Philadelphia date night ideas
Looking for some Philadelphia date night ideas? Becoming a new parent changes everything. Life is about to get a whole lot busier for you and making time for what’s important becomes a priority. As new parents, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle of diaper changes and nap times. Making time for a date night may sleep like the lowest item on your long to-do list, but as a mom myself, I want to encourage you to find time to be together – as just yourselves for a little bit. With that in mind, I’m sharing some of my favorite Philadelphia date night ideas – for new parents and seasoned ones like!
Delicious Dinner Out
When was the last time you had a meal with no babies to feed? A quiet dinner is a great time to reconnect with your partner and slow down from a hectic work week. In the city, some of my favorite restaurants are Double Knot (Japanese/Pan-Asian food), Zahav (Israeli cuisine) and Vetri Cucina (Italian food). There’s so many great restaurants in the city – so choose one of your favorites or somewhere new to try.
Quick Spa Evening
If you’re looking to really relax during your Philadelphia date night, consider a trip to the spa! Together, you can close your eyes and take care of yourselves. This is a wonderful way to pamper yourself and refresh before going back to your family. Consider booking a spa trip and dinner overlooking Philadelphia at the Four Season Hotel.
Outdoor Adventures
Consider a trip to visit Longwood Gardens if you love being outside! They have gorgeous summer fountain shows Thursday to Sunday to watch. Longwood Gardens even has a wonderful fine dining restaurant, 1906 at Longwood Gardens. Enjoy a quiet stroll through nature and a delicious meal before returning to everyday life.
Bonus! Family Adventure in Philadelphia
Once you’ve reset from your date night, take the whole family for a day adventure in Philadelphia. Head to Kennett Square and explore the downtown shops and finish your afternoon at The Creamery Kennett Square for food truck dining, craft beers and live music. It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon in the city!
Philadelphia is full of wonderful romantic date night spots. I hope that you and your partner can find time to slow down and reconnect! It’s so important to take care of ourselves as parents, especially in the early years when there’s so much on our shoulders. Of all of these Philadelphia date night ideas, what is your favorite Philadelphia date night spot?
