There is something about Longwood Gardens family photography that totally has my heart. I photographed Veronica and Scott in Philadelphia for their engagement session many years ago. They live in the city but got married in Texas. Because of that, we really wanted to highlight their love of the city. Even then, I knew they were special people. Veronica and Scott are such a joy – so full of life and happiness!
So, when Veronica and Scott reached out to me for a family session this year in Kennett Square, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough! They’re moving back to Texas and wanted to commemorate their love of this area that they built their family in before leaving. We met up at Longwood Gardens this summer and captured the most perfect portraits!
Summer Longwood Gardens Family Photography Session
One of the things I love about Veronica, Scott, and Andrew’s portraits most of all were their wardrobe choices! Veronica chose a beautiful blue and white floral dress from the client wardrobe and baby Andrew had a sweet onesie from the client wardrobe as well. It was the perfect combination of neutral and calm colors especially for a summer photo session! It was hot (very hot!) the day of our session, but the G family was amazing and so patient.
Thankfully, Longwood Gardens has plenty of places to duck into for some shade… plus they have some gorgeous fountains to get a little spritz of water from! We also spent some time inside their conservatory space with the gorgeous green plants that Longwood Gardens is famous for! I loved watching Andrew light up as we explored and played in new spaces. He loved being the center of attention with his parents. They were so sweet together!
