Congratulations, Becky and Brendan! This summer, they hosted the most laid back wedding day that truly complemented their personalities. They were very much focused on each other and having a day that celebrated the two of them and the commitment they are making. Every aspect of their Willow Creek Winery wedding day was stylish with elegant details showcasing the natural beauty of Cape May.
Willow Creek Winery Wedding
Becky and Brendan prepared separately for their wedding day before meeting for a first look at Willow Creek Winery. It was important to them (and me!) to build in the time to really enjoy and explore the winery. We also wanted to have time to go to Cape May Lighthouse.
This lighthouse is actually one of my favorite beach access points for portraits in the area. Because the access is private, it means that we aren’t competing for space to take portraits. Between the gorgeous ocean views and the greenery that allows me to take photos there even on the sunniest days, it’s truly one of the best spots in Cape May. Becky and Brendan were amazing, willing to walk around and play for the perfect photo. They even donned sunglasses for a few photos – which turned out to be some of my favorites from the whole day! Looking back on their wedding portraits, I’m still in awe of the love and happiness on their faces. Becky and Brendan are definitely two people who belong together!
One of the things I loved most about Becky and Brendan’s wedding was that they opted not to include a wedding party and just selected a best man and maid of honor. It was a nice way to keep things small and intimate, focused on them and what they wanted out of their day. On top of that, the groom’s sister officiated the wedding ceremony on the lawn at Willow Creek Winery. So perfect! Lawn weddings are always a great option and they’re so intimate and quiet. I think it’s a great option for couples who really want to focus on their relationship on a smaller wedding day.
Becky and Brendan ended the evening with a beautiful reception inside the winery. Willow Creek Winery’s reception space feels more warm, so Becky and Brendan chose to bring light and airy details in for the celebration. Everywhere you looked had beautiful ivory and super light pink floral details. It was a great choice against the room! Their day-of coordinator, “How Could You Knot?”, a wonderful South Jersey based wedding planner who made the day run so smoothly and really made sure their vision came to life in that moment. I loved the elevated rustic vibe of their reception decor inside the wooden walls of Willow Creek Winery.
Congratulations again, Becky and Brendan! I’m so happy for you both and thrilled that I could be a part of your intimate Willow Creek Winery wedding. Every moment was more beautiful than the last – truly a gorgeous way to kickstart this new chapter of your lives. I wish you many wonderful years together!!!
