The Philadelphia newborn portraits truly have my heart because of my love for new parents, Kimberly and Shane. I’ve worked with this sweet couple several times over the last few years. Together, we’ve documented their engagement session, COVID elopement, bigger wedding celebration, and their maternity session at Longwood Gardens. Now, they’ve welcomed their darling baby boy, Reed! I was so excited when I got the message that Kimberly had delivered Reed and it was time for their Philadelphia newborn portraits.

Lifestyle Newborn Portraits with Philadelphia Newborn Photographer
Kimberly and Shane knew that they wanted to do a lifestyle newborn session at home when Reed arrived. I think it was the perfect option for these three. Kimberly and Shane are truly the sweetest couple, and I loved the chance to capture a little bit of what life is like for them right now with their new baby at home. Plus, I’m a fan of anything that’s easy on parents – which means being at home, in their surroundings, with everything they need for their littlest love right on hand.
We started the session off with my favorite classic images – baby on a white blanket and swaddle. Reed was a sweetheart for me, and I love that I was able to capture some fun portraits of him with his eyes open looking at me. He did eventually get sleepier, so we could capture more traditional portraits of him snuggling. Kimberly and Shane also wanted portraits in Reed’s nursery. I absolutely loved his room! It’s decorated in the most beautiful forest green, and we even had a little swaddle to match. Some of my favorite portraits of this new family took place in his nursery!
